I use one because it is easier (and safer) in the car. I also use it at work because I can talk and type.

As far as the light blinking... first thing I did was learn how to turn that OFF!

I love mine.....but then I'm kind of a Trekky anyhow...... the flip phones remind me of the old communication devices.....lol

Well, it's not $14.99 but my headset of choice is the Jabra BT500V. It's unobtrusive and has only one LED that flashes once every few seconds.

It's mostly for use in the truck...especially when driving on base where "hand+phone+ear" is prohibited while driving.

I love mine, use it everywhere. I hate holding the damn phone and talking. With bluetooth is nice easy hands free. And has a nice range on it too. Don't leave home without it.
