I just finished up a Gurkha (Centurian XX I think) that I got form Altercall last friday. First 3rd took me to a flashback of some of the smokes I was trying end of last summer.

Ok here is my newbie question, how do you stop the blistering on your fingers from smoking to a nub? lol

Hold it in your mouth.

:)

I have used a tungston from his tig welder on occasion when I'm hanging out in the garage. Then my only problem is almost burning up my goatee(sp)

Todays smoke is something else, let me tell you....

The wrapper said Dominicana under a crown and a purple shield. The left side of the wrapper said Felipe, and the right side said Gregorio.

It looked like a rattlesnake that swallowed a muskrat, as it had a large bulge in the center third. Right now I am almost past the muskrat, and I have to say that it tastes pretty much what I thought it would taste like to smoke a muskrat.

I am hoping that after the muskrat is smoked, it may actually get better. The amount of smoke off of a draw is pretty small and smells not unlike a muskrat which has caught on fire after running through a tobacco field.

Honestly, the only reason I am still smoking it is because I am hoping that whoever made it knew that it would be worth it in the last third.

Then again, it could be a frickin practical joke........

Yesterday I was in Denver and wanted a smoke for the ride home....so I stopped by a cigar store and bought an Ashton "ESG" Torpedo.......$25.00!!!!!!!!!!!!
Biggest waste of $25.00 I ever spent! I'm sorry, but I am not finding the NC I could enjoy on a consistent basis yet?

I think it was a practical joke my friends, 'cause that smoke was just terrible from the moment I lit it till the moment I lost all hope and threw it in the street. I wasn't about to let that thing rest with the honored dead already in my ash tray. There was just a hint of a good cigar in the last puff I took, so it wasn't a complete waste of an hour.

Thank the Gods I didn't pay for that dog rocket, it came as a freebie in last months shipment. I wonder if they did that in order to pay me back for not being at home in order to sign for the smokes?

Gahhhhh..........

Mike, I'm pretty sure there is no ESG Torpedo out yet. Was it a VSG?

I have found that maduro cigars and anything that contains Nicaraguan or Honduran tobacco is tasting good to me.

I ended up smoking a Tatuaje Serie P No.1 on the way into Omaha this afternoon. It was pretty good...almost like a Tatuaje Light.

Once we got downtown Rach and I hit SG Roi and perused their humidor. She ended up letting me get a couple smokes, one of which was a Maduro Edge Torpedo...like a Missile but bigger. It was pretty good but I liked the Missile better.

I had my second Savinelli. This one was a white label. I was not impressed like yesterday. One more of the line to try. I found out yesterdays smoke was made by Oliva.
