Sancho Panza ER 2017 Belux Gran Quixote

My first ER.

Very tasty. A bit on the milder side in the first half, but great taste.

Strength picked up a fair bit in the second half, and the flavor changed, but I'm not good at describing it. Still very tasty.

Perfect draw and construction. Burn was a bit off the first half, which always happens to me with figarados, but a little correction and it stayed fine.

Overall, a really nice smoke.

Only the second Sancho Panza I have tried, the other being the Non-Plus which I didn't really care for much.

This definitely hit the spot though.

Diesel Disciple TAA Exclusive 2021

It is definitely still pretty young, but it has decent flavor. The Habano filler tastes like the same Esteli grown leaf used for the Man O War Puro Authentico, and in fact the first few puffs are way more MoW than Diesel. The San Andres wrapper is the next flavor to come in and it is better than expected. It doesn't seem like a very high priming and lacks that heavy earthy taste that can make SA taste cheap.

I'm about 1" in and I would guess that these get better in about two months and peak pretty quickly. If you aren't a fan of Diesel and MoW then this isn't going to bowl you over. If you like Diesel, MoW, and some other AJ blends it is worth the price.

A well made Lancero that will please people that like AJ Fernandez blends. It doesn't break new ground, but feels like enough of an upgrade to spend $9.

Edit to add:
The ash fell and that Habano taste picked up again. The first thought in my head was, "this would go amazingly with Eiroa corojo." Let's reverse the Aladino Habano Vintage. Put the Fernandez Habano in the filler and wrap it with Honduran Corojo aged six years.

Still on the stronger side for its age, and has a little bite on the finish still.

Great taste, draw and construction, but burn was off the entire length inspite of multiple corrections.

Tasted just like the young ones I smoke, except just a hint mellower.

Overall a great smoke, as these always are

Curious, what's the machine behind-left of the two Igloos?
Good lookin' pooches.
There's actually two machines back there. The machine in front is a very old Adler for sewing leather(you can basically make boots and shoes with) and the other is an old Brother sewing machine. We have a canvas business in Lake Tahoe which is where the Brother comes in and my family has had a Red Wing Shoe store in Santa Rosa, Ca for two generations which is where the Adler came from.
