CAO has went down hill. The Italian and Brazil no longer taste the same and they all need months of rest to compete with other brands. CAO is now made to a price point and not a quality standard in my opinion.
I had a first time bizarre CAO experience today. Photos to come, stay tuned...

Agree. I usually buy a box of Brazilas when it gets about halfway with the pre determination that I won’t touch it for 6 months to a year. Good value when it sits for a while though IMO.

Martes 13 after breakfast

Edit:
At the halfway point there is a nice mesquite and spice flavor with hay, leather, and cream. I really wish they weren't limited production. It has the smoothness to be a morning smoke, but the power of a mid-day smoke. It is great after a breakfast of eggs with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and feta cheese.

So I'm gathering from the 2 of you that with a little bit of age most of the cao's become the rott smokes they used to be?

Very interesting.
I wonder why that would be the case as they were always great rott 10 years ago when I smoked a lot of them

Production picked up during covid. 2020 had record breaking cigar sales. Factories are pushing cigars out faster than they have in the past so the cigars are younger. Those are my personal thoughts, anyway.
