Hmm, I've had that happen before even on favorite sticks. Could be also that it needed some rest in your tup. I get a lot of espresso and leather from the Brazilia.
It may have needed to rest longer I got it from a local B&M and it went straight to my tup. I think I may be having some slight humidity issues as well because I haven’t had a hygrometer but I ordered a govee yesterday and it should be here tomorrow so hopefully I can get that sorted out soon as I believe it might be why I’ve had some issues with a couple nicer sticks lately. I’ll definitely try to look for some of those notes more when I revisit this stick.

From someone who has grappled with humidity issues...it can make all the difference. I have a few dozen sticks that I need to revisit because I'm sure I smoked them when they were too wet and they all tasted like dirty ashtray. Granted, I live in a frigging sauna, so even with 62% Bovedas it is a struggle to keep my tups below 68% right now...needless to say, dryboxing is my friend...

I’m not quite sure what “dry boxing” means. I’m hoping the humidity isn’t too far off and I’ll be able to straighten it out quick. Have you used the govee hygrometer by chance?

Dryboxing is when you take your cigars out of a humidified environment and store them somewhere that has no humidification. Usually it's done because they are a little too wet and you are trying to dry them a bit. In my case it is because the best I can do in my tupperdors is around 67%, which causes them to smoke kinda shitty, particularly maduro and dark wrapper sticks. So I let them sit in a little leather humidor with no humidification for a week to ten days or so before I smoke them and it helps a lot.

I so far have only used Caliber IV hygrometers, haven't yet tried the Govee.

Thanks for the info! I’m always happy to learn something new.

That's a Nomad CotM exclusive.
Ah, ok.

Been seriously considering joining a cotm Club, but still undecided in general, and especially on which one.

I see Nomad and Cigar Federation mentioned the most, so they are on the top of my list.

@Bazillions

How do you like the Nomad cotm?
Consistently good smokes each month?

I really like the club. I haven't had any problems with the Nomad cigars or any of the other smokes they've sent so far.

Partagas Super Partagas

Pretty tasty. Nothing really special, typical partagas flavor.

Perfect draw, burn and construction though

For the cheap price for something similar to, but longer than, a typical Partagas PC, is worth buying on occasion.

Wouldn't be a staple in my stash though
