Former Connie guy here...the Oliva CT Reserve is one of the only ones I still like.

I would love to enjoy Connie's but they all seem to taste like burning green gass to me a note that isnt very appealing to me. But I do understand why people may like them generally being lighter and sometimes sweet and creamy. Just dont know what that burning green grass note is from.

I am familiar with that grassy note and I don’t really mind it too much seeing as I’ve only tasted it in one or two sticks. If you’re looking for one that at least I haven’t tasted it in (beginner palate) I’d go for the Macanudo Inspirado white band or the Perdomo small batch 2005 both fairly creamy and just a nice relaxed smoke.

Yup that's exactly where I find myself. Smoked them at first because they were "mild" and I feared "strong" cigars. Now I find 90% of them taste just like burning grass like you said.
