How is it? Been meaning to try El Tesoro. It's supposed to be made the "old fashioned way" though I'm not too sure exactly what that entails.

@Texican I got a mild cinnamon lime nose. Agave and vegetal on palate at first sip sweetness and vanilla building later lime peaks in late in the pour Really interesting, refreshing. This was a neck pour so I'm interested to see where it goes. Kind of what you expect from a well made Reposado lighter barrel notes then an Anejo but without overpowering Agave.

Yea I read they use natural fermentation, bake in a tradional Horno and grind with a Tahoma then double distilled.

@Texican I bought a crap load of tequila when I went to Texas wine country a week or so ago so you may not want to get into the habit of buying stuff just because I like it.

I poured Don Julio Anejo the day before yesterday and all I could think of was "sweeter Highland Scotch". Great stuff

I really like this stuff, on 2nd pour the agava sweetness takes control of the highland scotch notes. Still deceptively easy to drink.

This one is interesting. Has a lot of the "green/sweet" agave notes of a Blanco, but the smooth smokiness of an anejo. Good stuff. Their Blanco is absolutely horrible IMO. Glad I tried this one.

Yeah, it's definitely not great. I got mini-bottle happy.

Hmmm. I'm kinda on the fence. It's definitely not awful, but I don't necessarily think it warrants the price tag of $70 for a fifth. This one has rough edges to my palate, almost like a cheap Blanco.
