I have tried airing this one for four hours before. It still shot up to 69% when I was done. I've aired it for thirty minutes and put all the Bovedas out to dry over night. Right back up we go. Now I've pulled all of the cedar and Boveda pack out. It is sitting at 68.8%.I kept a couple of desiccant packs for my trouble tupperdors. 69% was around where they used to sit no matter what...even when I switched to 62% Bovedas.
Sadly, that's about where mine always sat. Hell, there were many times they would spike to 80% when the compressor acted funny and dropped the temps into the 50s.I have tried airing this one for four hours before. The rest are sitting between 66% and 68%. So, maybe some silica packs are in order.
Not long at all. Got it as part of a 10 stick Curivari sampler that arrived end of February I believe. I've only had one of them so far and my experience was identical. Super smooth and wonderfully complex. Glad you enjoyed it!! Bigfoot silently approves.View attachment 171369
Thanks @Texican
How long did you have this one sitting? It is super smooth and tasty.
Edit: This is an awesome Spring smoke. It starts off smooth and woody with a hint of hay and maybe some citrus. Then some darker flavors and a hint of spice slowly roll in. The early profile was a bit surprising given the dark wrapper and Nicaraguan pedigree.
Those are kind of a "Love - Hate" thing. Never really a bad one and some I've loved, but then hate that you can't get more.Purchased a 5er of CFed Boutique Seconds on the advice of @heavyd and am now wishing I bought 10. What is it? No idea. But it's dark, draws perfect, has a closed foot...and is very chocolatey and smooth. There's something appealing about enjoying a smoke that you may never identify or encounter again. Ships passing in the night and all that. Thanks for the tip, Dave!
