I don't know about the dinner part. If you just knocked back some St. Louis ribs or a big Indian meal, it might not cut through like a Nicaraguan. However, despite being a lighter blend it carries a decent amount of body. I would say it is more of an after Sunday brunch type of cigar in the first third.
