Wish I took picture before smoking the first one. Oh well, 19 of 20 for all to see the lineup. I think one is lined up by the letters and others by size. After the picture, I tossed them all in the air and re arranged them one last time.

Not sure why I never used photobucket before, but will do so more often I hope in the near future.

Here is my first review:

Player J, Stick 1, Overall score is 86
Electric Sheep, Ashton ESG Robusto

Appearance and Construction: 19 of 20

This estimated 5 1/4 x 50 cigar sported a beautiful medium brown natural looking wrapper. No large veins, no water or sun spots. Slight box press on top and bottom. Cap and feet looked excellent. Only took 1 point off, there was really no smell to this cigar, otherwise looks very nice.

Pre-lit draw 8 of 10

Took well to the Palio cutter and revealed a nice, almost too easy draw. Again, no taste detected whatsoever in either the draw nor the taste of the wrapper before lighting. I found this a little odd.

Burning and lighting 11 of 15

Here is where this cigar failed for the most part. The draw did not seem to be the problem, but this sticks burned at a severe angle the entire way and required multiple touch-ups. I lost count around 6. The actual burn was good, just at a bad angle. Took well to 2 purges, never did not get harsh. The ash held well and yielded nicely when taped or rubbed on the ashtray. The ash was lt. gray and even in color, also very nice looking.

Flavor, taste, changes in profile: 26 of 30

The first third was a nice coffee, middle got stronger like an espresso, the last third was more espresso and had faint cedar wood tastes throughout. The espresso tastes did not fade like others in this profile I have tried. Overall complexity is where this lacked, it really did not change much from the espresso. Had a nice steady medium amount of smoke each pull, even with the easy and awkward burn, never getting harsh.

Overall Finish: 10 of 10

The espresso flavors on my pallet and tongue lasted for a long time. Some coffee taste lasted for hours, even past having my dinner. Very nice indeed.

Summary: 12 of 15

This stick lasted me about 65 minutes, laying it to rest with about 1" remaining. Nice medium strength, medium bodied stick. I would call this a nice everyday smoke, but not a special one. I would consider a 5 pack purchase, but not a box. I would estimate this to be a $4.00 to $5.00 price range, should have been a Nicaraguan puro.

This was first out of the box in my reviews, hope I was not too harsh or too easy. We shall see, someone had to start this. Thanks for sharing this cigar with me.

Player D, Stick 2, Overall score is 90.5
Frankluke, SLR Regios 2006

Appearance and Construction: 20 of 20

This estimated 4 7/8 x 44 cigar sported a beautiful light brown natural looking wrapper. No large veins, no water or sun spots. Ever so slight box. Cap and feet looked excellent. No soft or hard spots. Had a nice pleasant tobacco and light spice aroma.

Pre-lit draw 10 of 10

Took well to the Palio cutter and revealed a firm, but giving draw. Made me wonder, was almost too tight. The first draw was spicy and peppery, I could hardly wait to torch it. Had nice tingle and zip on the tongue and lips.

Burning and lighting 14 of 15

The burn on this was very good. Only slightly uneven, always self corrected and needed only 1 slight touch up. Overall burn was near excellent. Took well to one purge. The draw was just right, making the pre lit tightness go away from the first puffs. The ash held well and yielded nicely when taped or rubbed on the ashtray. The ash was butt ugly, showing as dark gray mixed with some black.

Flavor, taste, changes in profile: 27 of 30

Smooth and peppery from the first draw. After only 5 or 6 puffs became like a liqueur creme beverage, very smooth vanilla bean & extract. Not my normal alcoholic beverage, but I had not experienced this in a cigar like this, very refreshing. Soon as I got used to this, about 1/3 way down back came the hot spices and red & habanaro peppers without warning. This spice stayed with the cream background most of the way. If I put out at the 2/3 way mark, would been given VERY high marks. For some reason, this stick became harsh at the last quarter mark. All the way this stick yielded a medium smoke volume.

Overall Finish: 7 of 10

Unfortunately, this stick ended on the bad bitter note. The nice spicy and cream profile that I enjoyed so much during the smoking was completely gone after letting the cigar die. VERY surprised the harshness was there on the pallet and luckily it faded away quickly.

Summary: 12.5 of 15

This stick lasted me 53 minutes, laying it to rest with under 1" remaining as I wanted to get that great spicy back which never came. Nice medium/full strength, medium bodied stick. Gets the half point cause I would consider points between a 5 pack & a box depending on the price. I would estimate this to be a $5.25 to $6.50 price range stick, not exactly sure of the background or origin of this one. Thanks for sharing this stick.

Yeah guys, I am not sure where to put these. Chuck suggest I just post here and the brand and country etc. are not known. I thought a temporaty sticky for me to post 1 after the other would be cool. Would be easier to find as we go along. I could always cut and paste if need be.

I am thinking a thread for each review on the Cigar Pots forum would work since it is a contest...and you are right...the origin is unknown so the review sections wouldn't really work.

guess what they are... brand names...

 I have tried to hit top25cigar and cigarsreviews to guess afterwords. VERY difficult task my man, even knowing the size and profile. Almost impossible even if you limited which country of origin. Even still, so many sticks are blended, making things even harder.

Dude, you are good at writing reviews...very nicely done!

Takes me about an hour between pre lit, as I go, and post thoughts for each. I have to assign a number for everything for each exction. I have an entire page full of points for each section and notes as well. Then write them up here. I am taking this VERY seriously. The no name bands and no BOTL member with it makes it easier when I review, just as I hoped. If the weather would cooperate along with the family, this will keep going.

Thanks for the comments guys. 18 more to go.:wtf:
