So there's a local Rockies commercial where you enter the 'Colorado Rockies Humidor'. Inside there's two players smelling these baseballs. There's also two baskets, one says Rockies and one says Visitors. The players smell a ball and are like "Dominican" and throw it in the Rockies basket. They smell another one and it reeks, and one of the players is like "eww, it's one of those herbal balls" and chucks it in the visitors basket. Then the other player smells the next ball and is like "Is this a Cuban?" and the second guy goes "I think we got those from Canada."
Anyways, I thought it was pretty hilarious. There's not a lot of reference to cigars in the media today and I thought the commercial was funny.

Apparently the Colorado Rockies actually do have a baseball humidor. It keeps the baseballs at the manufacturer's specs because our air is so dry (less than 15% RH a lot of times).
It's actually kind of cool!

From what I understand, *ALL* baseball stadiums are going to start holding their baseballs in humidors. The League is going to be specifying what temp and RH the balls must be, in addition to the current diameter/weight/composition requirements.

True enough, I read an article about that just a couple weeks ago. Part of the overall attempt to keep baseballs all equal and as fair as possible.

Hell yeah it's dry! I used to get nose bleeds all the time.
It's so dry that I've almost given up on humidors and switched completely to coolers. I've only got one 150-count desktop (with like 1/4lb. beads and a couple bovedas, and it still has trouble staying around 65% sometimes) and the rest of the sticks are in the coolers and large travel caddies.
