the story was that a croc will keep their jaws open for a long time untill they feel something, anything on their tongue or inner mouth. at which point they clamp shut automatically.
the guy that they showed the video of had handled crocs for a very long time and gave shows to tourists about his ability to handle them. as the grand finale, he put his head into a crocs mouth as he had done a thousand times before. only this time, a drop of sweat from his temple his the crocs tongue, and the jaws slammed shut. that too was pretty graphic.
