this past week has been a complete whirlwind! there is seriously ALWAYS something going on and something to do! the time flew and no part of me wanted to leave. Sarah and I have already promised eachother to return soon (she shamefully admitted she had a much greater time than she thought she was going to).

I'm sure there's more stuff I missed, but it's been a long day of travel (took the red-eye LAST NIGHT) and between layovers and time changes have just gotten home a few hours ago!

there it is boys...read it and be jealous...I'll update the thread as more stuff comes to mind

oh, and pics to come as well....as soon as someone reminds me how to do that! :help:

Awesome! I'm going out there with my dad and uncle for Big Smoke, and I can't wait! I've heard really good things about the Burger Bar. Personally the only burger I've had in Vegas was in-n-out.
Glad you had a good time!

oh yeah...just remembered....Sarah and I rented a convertible and drove out to Red Rock Canyon...which was mind-blowing!

as an Earth Science Teacher I was loving it, and Sarah (who continuously calls me 'dork' and 'nerd') was absolutely blown away!

and yeah...I got pics! :stretchgr

Awesome. You did all the freebies. I think people really miss out when they skip this stuff. Luxor is usually my home base. Randy and I sat in the Pyramid cafe and smoked cigars waiting for Mike. Annoyed the hell out of the people around us. I love Vegas.

Glad you and the wife had a good time. Renting a convertible was a good move. Wife and I did that 3 years ago, drove through Red Rock Canyon and took to the Hoover Dam and the scenic route around a lot of the lake as well.

Did ya take the dam tour with a dam guide? Most importantly, if you did, did you ask any dam questions?

Very cool! Sounds like you had a great time! Where did you guys stay?
stayed at luxor...great value on the south strip.

for poker players...it;s a gold mine!

daily thirty dollar tournaments and tons of live games with the 'I saw this on TV...gotta try to play while I'm in vegas' newbie poker players. most of these guys don't even know how to post a blind!

I totally didn't even think about that! I mostly stick to blackjack, but I can put on the heat in Texas when I need to. Gonna have to check that out.
Musta been fun for you!

admittadly, it was very nice! I just wish I woulda stuck to poker instead of throwing my money around at other table games!

I guess what it came down to, is I wasn;t there just for me, and truth be told, I don;t have to be in vegas to gamble. Wnen I play poker in a casino, I usually sit for like 10-13 hours...literally. I didn;t want to spend theat much time sitting in some room in some casino when there's so much to see and do in vegas. I didn;t want to miss out on anything. Besides, I wanted to make sure that Sarah had a blast as well...and she's not a poker player (not much of a gambler for that matter.)
