Good stuff Mike. I got 'em cued up on Spotify.
There is a reason people never believe me when I (honestly) tell them I'm not a stoner.
I knew they had a multitude of great covers on the series, but I didn't know why Mike. Thank you.The show runner had bands do cover songs for the show because it was cheaper than licensing originals. That is how we ended up with the only ED Sheeran song I really liked.
Letters from home gets me choked up every time.
Sounds like my Mom back in the day, Matt, just subbing The Doors for Steely Dan.I'm adding a sewing room in our basement, so tunes are a must.
So I grabbed a bag of the fine Colombian, a box of Franzia Rosé, pack of Benson & Hedges Slims and listened to the Steely Dan catalog.
I just discovered ECM Records in the last few years. Really digging in to their catalog is a bit daunting. There a few different styles and some of it really requires that you understand something about that style. Their catalog can require a lot of intellectual engagement. Which is weird to me because so much of it feels relaxed to the point of being unassuming.A Pat Metheny night:

Yup, ECM had a pretty w-i-d-e range of artists. It doesn't help that they probably have the tightest reigns on their streaming. It can be hard to find some of the stuff without relying on fan made videos. I think you can still get most of the catalog on CD and vinyl through their site though.
