My brother is planning a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico next week and he wants to know where to go to buy cigars. If nobody here knows of a specific place do you have any advice as far as how to locate a reputable shop or what to stay away from. Thanks in advance.

IMO, I would not buy cigars from someone who is :

1. Selling out of a glass-top box mounted on the handlebars of a bicycle
2. Selling cigars along side t-shirts, carved trinkets and horchata
3. Selling cigars he said he obtained from his third cousin who works at the Partagas factory in Cuba.

Your best bet is the authorized LCDH in CSL:

J&J Habanos. Zona Centro Blvd., Cabo San Lucas

We go to Cabo every year, love the place, the LCDH is the best place in Cabo for CC selection. The prices in MX are high due to the government imposed import tax (90+%). Pueblo Bonito Resorts (Sunset Beach, Blanco and Rose) have a very limited selection of the genuine article with a little less mark-up.
