Since E passed, he legally left this forum to his wife Maria and I've been helping out what little I can and the Mod's have been doing the heavy lifting in that thankless job of keeping the bots at bay and everything else they do.

We've looked around and asked around and not found someone willing to take on the financial burden that this place carries while generating no revenue. It was purely an act of love for everyone here that E reached into his pocket every month and paid the bills to keep it going. But with his passing, the financials have obviously changed and it is not feasible to keep it going.

Short of someone seeing this and swooping in to take that over, May will be the last month this forum will be operational.

There are so many people that I've met here and still friends with to this day, talk to daily...It's breaks Maria's and my heart to be where we are, but it's the unfortunate reality.

We're going to keep the domain name and I will try and snapshot the whole thing before it goes and maybe someone will step in and stand it back up with the history.
If anyone is interested and has the skills necessary, feel free to shoot me a message or Maria (under Eric's username).

So for the next couple months, Smoke em if you got em.

This place has been such a large part of my life for the past 13+ years that words cannot describe the shock I am feeling right now.

Even though things are no longer like they were back in its heyday, BOTL has been an invaluable source of information and brotherhood that in some cases has forged lifelong friendships for me. I also understand though that with E's passing we no longer have the necessary benefactor with the financial and technical glue that holds this wonderful place together.

I pray that we find a solution however if that is not possible then R.I.P. BOTL. You have been a wonderful friend and will be sadly missed :cry:

I'll add this E and now Maria made a place for us all to share a passion. A place where brothers and sisters can discuss, learn, share, tease and at times disagree with one another. The site is the catalyst that created it. But we are the ones that can keep the brotherhood alive. While I hope a solution can be reached, if it can't, we still have the friends and online family we've made all these years.

This is honestly super sad to hear. This place has always been somewhere I knew I could come back to anytime and it was like I never left.

If there was a clear picture on what it would take financially to keep this place up and running I’m sure there are a handful of us who would be happy to pitch in either through a monthly contribution or funding through merch sales.

I’m not sure how familiar everyone here is with discord, but if anyone would like to potentially setup a back up I’d be happy to help out.
