Off brand tires from Firestone with 40K warranty. Should carry the 94' Colt for another year or two. Maybe get me to 300K.

'94 Colt? Hell your tires are now worth more than the car. :headroll:
That's true, except that it's worth the car payment that I have not had to make on another car for the last 4 years (140,000 miles ago) when I paid $750 for the car.

Sweat deal! Did you get them at the "fell off the truck" Firestone?
The last set I got I paid ~250.

Was shopping around online this time and went to Fireston Care Centers website and the $20 tires popped up. Called immediately and took the car in 30 minutes before they closed. They jumped on it and had me out before closing. It's great when something actually works out!

That's a great deal, especially if you're running them on an endurance vehicle. 300K from a Colt, now that would be priceless. Good luck. (no sarcasm implied)

Check the side and make sure they are highway grade versus farm grade.:nodlaugh:

I bought this car 4 years ago (after totalling my previous) to last me while I looked for a new car. Figured I would be lucky if it lasted 4 months. Been driving it 125 miles a day ever since. Hopefully it will keep going. As long as I drive it I can smoke during my commute.

Hey now every month you're not making a "New Car" payment is like hitting the little lotto again and again. I'm still a firm believer that the best option to have on a vehicle is the title. Dad had a '72 LTD w/300 K +, he'd be proud of you.

Exactly, why have a payment when you can put that money towards something else like retirement, etc.
