... I just read in today's San Jose Mercury News that the city council is considering making all public parks totally "smoke free".

:tongueout

I guess I'll be spending part of my weekend writing letters to my councilman + the mayor.

Butt-free: in the Province of Alberta Canada

Alberta law among nation's toughest
Jason Fekete and Sean Myers, with files from Kim, Calgary Herald
Published: Friday, June 01, 2007
Alberta will go from one of Canada's weakest anti-smoking jurisdictions to one of its toughest with new legislation announced by the Stelmach government on Thursday.
The legislation ends years of hesitation by former premier Ralph Klein to implement a blanket ban in Alberta.
Although some Tory MLAs opposed the measure, it passed with an "overwhelming majority" in the closed-door caucus meeting, according to sources.
