Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Ok, I finished the latest book last night. I got it Saturday around 1 o'clock and finished it last night at midnight. It was pretty good, but not the best book of the series. That still is Order of the Phoenix to me. Anyone else reading it?

I finished it, and thought it was pretty badass. I l iked it cause there was more action than in the other ones and less fairy tale.

Yeah, I sat outside on the back patio and smoked 3 churchills and a DC. And cooked a duck on the rotisierrie while reading it!! Kids were having a good time in the pool so I didn't mind sitting outside with them all afternoon.

I always liked those sci fi/fantasy books. I just couldn't stop reading it. But there was no way I was going to wait outside for it at midnight. I have my beauty sleep to consider!opeyes:

Yea, I'll have to see if it is here or if I took it to school.

I think the main reason I never read it was Heather was in England when it was released and she picked it up. It is a slightly different version in regards to the writing. It has more "English" terms in it such as "bloke", etc...

Finished it within 24 hours. Think it was Sunday around 10:30-ish in the morning when I finished it. I almost read it straight through Saturday but I just couldn't bring myself to stay up to 4 in the morning.

Yea I have not read any of them seen a couple of the movies...

Never really got into the Sci-Fi reading.... my roomate actually just got me hooked on the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.. but other than that no sci-fi for me..

I just picked the book up yesterday. If you like that series another interesting Modern Day wizard series is the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I've been burning through them.

I have also been reading the George RR Martian books.

I know what you mean. My wife likes watching shows on BBC america and I can't understand half of what they say. Does anyone have an america/england translation dictionary. Putting your suitcase in the "boot" how stupid does they think I is.

I haven't read any of the Potter books yet. I was waiting till they all came out so I wouldn't have to wait in any lines.

Ianother interesting Modern Day wizard series is the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I've been burning through them.

Jesse, is that the same series I saw advertised on the SciFi channel? It looked interesting but I'd need to Tivo it.

I also did the one-day read-through as soon as I got the chance. It's definitely not a bad ending to the series.
