Summertime colds ...

Well as the song goes ... "sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug". I definately feel like the bug today. Don't know where I picked up this cold, but it's been kicking my butt since late last night. Looks like I'll be living on Advil, decongestants and chicken soup this weekend ...:sadstare:

I hate summer colds. It just makes everything hurt that much more, especially the pressure in your head..THey suck.

These are the worst.

Mine lasted about two weeks and no medicine helped it at all.

You just got to get through it. Puts a big damper on cigar smoking for sure.

Well after one of the worst weekends I can remember ... with my temps mostly in the 101 - 103.2F range and my body feeling like I went 3 rounds with Chuck Liddell ... I visited my doctor today. Turns out my cold has now blossomed into pnenumonia.

Looks like it will be a few weeks before my next cigar ... :frown:

I too got stuck with a major head cold for about a week. Fever, then sinusitis....and, to make it worse, I was stuck with it through my vacation.

Ted I recomend a concoction of theraflu,teqilla and percoset.
Taken a couple of times a day you may not get any better but you wont stay awake worrying about it either.:rofl:

I had a bug last week and I'm finally coming back around

Wow, I'm finally able to get around on my feet now. I've been almost totally flat on my back for the past few days. The initial antibiotic my doctor gave me was Clarithromycin. Lord ... I think I have an idea of how chemotherapy patients must feel. The side effects were just horrendous and I felt twice as sick.

Now I'm on Levaquin and am starting to feel better. Still have shortness of breath and lots of congestion, but I can tell it's clearing up. Already lost 7 lbs too as most everything tastes metallic + bitter. If I could just figure out where / how I caught this nastyness ...

Anyway, time to get back to 6 pages of unread posts.
