Okay I know this doesn't shoot bullets but I also figured that it's the closest forum to put this in.

I'm looking at the Emerson Super CQC-7BW and wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with these blades.

Thanks
Not the Emerson per se, but I did carry the Benchmade version of his knife for awhile. He did a collaboration with Benchmade ~ 5 - 8 years ago, using that CQC design. If you want it for tactical carry, then I say go for it. However, I found it lacking for everyday tasks. It was a bit on the large side and for the broad array of cutting needs I have each day I found a more traditional blade design works better. I have handled a lot of Emerson knives and the quality is superb; his styles just do not suit me. Bottom line: you cannot go wrong with any of Emerson's products.

Fox has it right... ya can't go wrong AND it's a good start on a collection, if that's yer bent. My everyday tactical - in R-Rear pocket [NOT used to cut boxes, paper, or clean fingernails] is a first production run (Serial #192/500) Buck/Stridor collaboration. Right front is a ProTech LiL Runt auto, and, of course the ubiquitous Wenger exec [w/handcuff key and BDE QM tweezers attached] is in the watch pocket.

I've also got a Bob Dozier folder that is SWEET! Lately I've been looking at Tactical Elite Level 3G in S30V by Darryl Ralph/Ryan Wilson at www.combatelite.com You just gotta figure how much ya wanna invest and what ya really need it for. My standby for years was the old Buck 110... now residing in the toolbox.

Check six. ~(*_*)~

In social and professional settings, the attitude is the same as that of the warrior, even when there is no discord. The mindfulness to observe the dynamic of situations, even in a group, is the art of war.

I'll third the immense quality of the Emerson blades. I was sponsored by Benchmade when I was a hunting guide in Alaska and had a couple of the Emerson models...along with a lot of Benchmades.

After Emerson left Benchmade and went out on his own, it'd be easy to say the quality of his knives only got better. I still have an Emerson in my Action Packer for if/when I head out for a hunting trip.
