mighty fine labor day weekend!

what a phenomenal conclusion to an awesome bday month!! took a bunch of gift sticks with me to the river,,,, fished friday (stopped by 9am, 102 degrees), hunted dove sat, sun, and mon (we all had our limits (10) by 9am each day!! good, cuz the temps were 104, 102, 102 at that time). played in the river all afternoon (can you say, 'bikini'??), ate like a king all weekend (carne asada tacos, breakfast burritos, homemade chili, and, of course, dove wrapped in bacon stuffed with jalapeno and onion), drank mucho cervezas (dos equis, corona, heineken, and grolsch), and smoked A1 quality smokes (3-4 per day!!!) - not a dud in the bunch!!

WOW, sounds like you had a blast!!!! I haven't hunted in 10 years and haven't worn a bikini in almost 10 days. I'm way jealous.

I spent 3 days morning surfing South Salt Creek Beach ( Strands to locals) in the most perfect beautiful waves I think I've ever ridden. I mean crystal clear water, 4-7 foot SW swell ( that's 7-10 feet on the face) that was pitching over perfect barrels all morning long. A new meaning to "the green room" I've ridden much bigger, but the anxiety of possibly getting thrashed, kinda ruins some of the fun for me. And for some reason a buddy and I had the break all to ourselves. Absolutly perfect mornings.
