Hello brothers

What do you think about these non-expensive blends?

JW Black Label
Dewar's 12 years
Grand Old Parr
J&B 12 years
Chivas Regal 12 years

They are on the same price range where I live, and I'm experimenting with non-expensive blended scotch (looking for something nice that won't break the bank).

So far I've tried the JW, the Dewars and the Chivas...what do you think about them? Have you tried to pair some of these with cigars?

I've had the JW Black and Dewars and both were OK.

There are some good single malts in the same price range though ... Bowmore, Dalmore and GlenLivet come to mind. I like the smooth / slightly sweet GlenLivet the best.

I am a big fan of the single malt, Laphroaig, although Tedski says it should come with a skull and crossbones on the label. . .:rolling:

Chivas Regal uses Laphroaig as part of their "blend"; at least they did the last time I checked. I prefer the single malts, but if I have to drink a blend, Chivas Regal would be the one. . .

For an exceptional single malt, albeit strong and peaty, try the 16-year Lagavulin, an Islay scotch. . .

Ok, thanks for all the advice brothers!! I think you're all right....will definetly buy some Chivas (I have been drinking JW for a while) and....will give some more expensive single malts a shot. I guess I deserve it

JW Black is my personal favorite. However, I'm biased since I love anything JW. Second runner up would be Glenlivet.
