Councilwoman Nancy Nadel objected to efforts by some members of the council and smokers rights activists to remove golf courses or the areas in front of bars from the ordinance.


"There are good strong measures in here I want to support," Nadel said. "I would urge you to think about the fact that we are being guided by addicted people on how we should make health policy in our city."

Well, it's about time. How many people have to die from second hand smoke on golf courses before we take a stand?

Don't smoke in your apartment, outside at the golf course, or a nautical mile from any establishment that someone might be offended.
