And let's not mention the piss-poor treatment our wounded vets are getting via the VA hospitals and clinics. :cursing:
Yup, seems like once you're out of an MTF, then the treatments are done with. They are doing great things for the guys here at BAMC, but once they are discharged and sent to the VA, things slow down or stop. The commanders try try to counter-act that by keeping guys in the system here longer, but that just leads to problems with the soldiers, being bored, being in a MedHold environment, good soldiers start getting into trouble that they normally never would have. The problem lies in the fact that there is no clear solution yet, noone has figured out how to handle this situation, especially the guys coming back with PTSD/TBI issues.
