Anybody on here have a paper route?
Something yesterday made me think of it.
When I was in junior high I had a job delivering the Cincinnati Post.
But what I did was ride around in the back of Bill's truck and he would pull up to a rack and I would jump off the truck and put the papers in the machine.
I really enjoyed that job.
When I was about 19 I had a home delivery route, but it was on where I drive around in a couple of neighborhoods and threw them out of the car.
I loved that job. So much so that I wound up having a New York Times route
Monday thru Friday , It came out at about 2 in the morning. And then doing the Post from about 3 till 5 in the afternoon.
I dropped the times since it paid very little and got an Enquirer route,
Had to put it in my cousin;s name because they would not let you have a Post route and an Enquirer route. But the enquirer is 7 days a week no day off job. Even if it is only for a couple of hours in the early morning, not something a 20 year old wants to do.
And in the middle of my day I worked at domino's pizza...but that is another story :starrylov :togetherl (that is how I met my soon to be wife)
Got burnt out throwin' papers so I responded to a classified ad for sales at an electronics company in Cincinnati and I have been in sales ever since.
It's not the noun...it's the verb.
