Geez! I thought when I finally narrowed my life down to just one job I'd have more time to spend here, but it's been hectic as ever.
Did I mention that I'm now a full time purveyor of fine coffees?
Yep, the window biz wasn't going too well and we decided to dissolve the partnership. I thought about looking for another full time job but decided that since my heart is really in the roasting business I'd give that a shot full time rather than knock myself out again doing one thing by day and coffee on nights and weekends.
So that's what I've been doing. Working on more local marketing and some outside the area. Trying to keep up with current orders and get ready for the Christmas rush. Getting my office and work areas more efficiently organized.
Black Dog Coffee had it's Wash. DC Debut at the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show a couple weeks back. The show was at the DC Convention Center and was headlined by Paula Deen. There were in the neighborhood of 12,000 attendees and the Black Dog booth was extremely popular! Our booth was crammed and there was a line out the booth and down the aisle both ways for hours at a stretch.
It's a lot of fun but man, some long days. I've been trying to figure out how I ever did this part time!
I'm hoping that once I get a little more organized I'll be able to spend more time here and who knows, maybe even smoke a cigar now and then!
Good to see y'all!
