What are you guys doing for Christmas?

I'm leaving early Sunday Morning the 23rd to drive just south of Rosarito Mexico. We rented a little house on the beach there and will be staying until the 26th. We are just north of a small lobster village called Puerto nuevo. So we will be eating lobster for dinner every night and fresh tamales and stuff all day. Thaks to my secret santa gift, I'll have some good beer to drink while I'm there. There is supposed to be a great surf break right in front of our place, but from the looks of the forcast, it will be way too big for my comfort, hopefully the reports are wrong. 20 foot swells are fun to watch, but you won't catch me in that water if it is. What are you guys doing?

We host our families on Christmas Eve....which totals around 25. Good food/drink/white elephant and even a smoke or three. Christmas Day is all about the kids...me and the wife place bets on how early they try to wake us up. (My money is on 5:30am)

Did christmas with the kid's last saturday. Have to, as 2 of 3 of my boys have blended family's and the g/kids get drug all over the place on Christmas day.

Christmas morning, Mrs. V and I get up and open the few gifts we buy for each other. I'm then off to see if'n Santa can grace me with a Birdie or 2, maybe an Eagle. Then late afternoon, over to the youngest son's house for a prime rib dinner. Undoubtedly, I will be indulging in a couple of those premium smokes you sent me on Christmas day-Thanks. :smokingbo

DP, enjoy that 2 below on the beach and be safe down south. :smokingme

Christmas will be tough and low key this year with Dad's passing....not looking forward to it much.
I hear ya mike.

We are spending Christmas with our sister-in-law. This is the first Christmas since her husband, Rachel's brother Ian, was killed in Iraq.

We have spent almost every weekend with her in KC this year and will be there with her all through the holidays (21st through the 6th). She says it really helps having us close by and coming down there so often.

I'll be doing the local family visits as usual, but this year will be the 1st Christmas for my little girl and the day after is her Birthday, so it's going to be busy the next couple of days ;)

BTW, the lobster isn't cheap anymore and don't drink the water. :rolling:

Christmas Eve with the daughter this year, then Christmas day with the inlaws. Good food, good wine and good friends. Can't beat that.. Well maybe if Todd and Rachel and the little one's could also be there. Maybe next year..........

I have two people in the office here that say a two lobster dinner is roughly $15 and you can buy fresh lobster for $5 a piece. a 1 lb lobster dinner in newport beach runs $50 so relativly it's way cheap. I have plenty of water already in the back of the jeep.
