Bought a bottle of Macallan cask strength over the weekend. I love the "bite" of the high proof; about 115 on this batch. I was surprised to find that this scotch has a definite sweetness on the palate. At first it was disappointing, but it actually grew on me after a few sips. . .Maybe it was too many sips and I just did not notice the sweetness anymore. . .:headroll:

So, what's in your cabinet Scotch wise?

I can't remember exactly as I haven't dipped into any of the bottles recently, but here's what I remember, and I'll try to add to it when I can check in...

Johny Walker Black...My first love in the Scotch world.
Dewars 12 Year...a gift and my "mixin'" scotch.
Dalwhinnie 15 year...just picked this up last weekend, think I have it right...
Glenlivet 15 year French Oak Reserve

Carry on...

A Bottle of Glenmorangie 12 Yr Old Port Wood Finish
and a bottle of 18 yr old something I can't remember....but supposed to be good!

No cabinet as of yet but I have the last third of Mike's Glenmorangie Port finish, Glenlivet 12yr, Macallan 12 yr, and still have the three bottle sampler of Glenfiddich.

I have not tried any Scotch yet but I have a three mini bottle sampler of Glenfiddich that I picked up in KC a while back.

It has the following in it...

Special Reserve 12 year
Solera Reserve 15 year
Ancient Reserve 18 year

We'll probably crack 'em open during the race Saturday night.

I am really liking the Scotch now...more so then the Bourbon.

I picked up 2 bottles of Scotch when I came back from England in Aug. I know one was a Balvinie and I forgot the other for now. I was told that neither bottle would see the US for many years if ever.

Currently the only scotch I have is Johnny Walker Blue. Besides that, I really like Glenmorangie 18-year.
Other items in my cabinet include:
Knob Creek
Buffalo Trace
Hennessy VSOP
Remy Martin VSOP

Those are the only liquors I have that don't live in the freezer...

Yes. It's currently full of smirnoff, Jager, Parrot Bay, and others.
Not nice liquors, those stay out of the freezer. But the party liquors all camp out in the freezer.
