Our eight year anniversary isn't until the 26th but since Rach is unable to drive due to her broken leg she took advantage of our sis-in-law being in town this weekend and went shopping for my gift...I didn't ask for anything in particular, just dropped some hints regarding expensive Whiskey I would not normally buy and what not.

This is what she comes home with!

61" 1080p DLP HDTV

Now, what do I do with the five year old 65" Mitsubishi Diamond Rear Projection HDTV it is replacing? Anyone want to use their $600 tax rebate on it?

First off, there is no way in hell I am lugging that 500lb behemoth up stairs.

Second, there is no way in hell the kids are going to have a bigger TV then me...they already have the old SD 36' Sony.

Third, that TV is hella heavy!

Oh, and yes...she certainly is a keeper...she even acknowledged this opens Pandora's box...now I need a HDMI Receiver, Blu-Ray player, etc.

Hmmm, now that I think about it I guess I did hint at desiring a newer TV.

Last week while we watching TV I mentioned that it would be cool to get rid of the monster TV and she said it would e nice but too expensive.

I proceeded to diplomatically remind her that it would be less then the new wedding set we bought as her anni gift two days prior.

And it was.

Happy "Anniversario" Todd.

You can always donate the tv to Salvation Army, they will pick it up and you can hand them an itemized word doc for $1000 and use it as a tax deduction.
