Has anyone ever put the heartfelt beads in a cedar box ?

If so what happened, if not what do u think will happen?

I have some shallow cigar boxes that i want to put heartfelt beads in but i am afraid the cedar will f$%k them up.

Thanks

I belive the beads will discolor, and maybe plug up from the wood. I would stick to glass or plastic bro.

I don't forsee any issues. I put my beads in pantyhose and lay them directly on the cedar shelf in my cabinet humi. They stay in pretty direct contact with wood all the time and I've never experienced any issues.

but if their directly in the cedar... how do you soak them, you have to pour them out to something?
in a dish, plastic, panty, tube, whatever, you just add water.

i thought that you only add small amounts of water, a few ounces at a time because you DONT want to soak them (only 70% should be wet) and a nice cedar box will hold a small amount of water

I think i am going to try it out, i will let u know how it works out.

Well if they're in a cedar box just take a spray bottle filled with distilled water and lightly mist the beads. You'll get them wet without soaking the beads or getting the wood too wet. Very easy stuff. I use a spray bottle and mist mine through the pantyhose. Works like a charm. And you can control the moisture output.

Panty hose or a finch type sock feeder will hold beads just fine. Cedar will probably discolor the beads but does not affect their performance.

I’ve been keeping beads like that in a coolidor. I cut old cab. style boxes off about 2” and sanded the edge smooth for homemade trays. The beads are loose in the trays. Spray bottle works fine. I read that they will or could pick up cedar oils if stored in wood as such. The beads can be replaced. Trays also work great for storing and organizing singles.

I don't see a problem here other than the beads clogging up or discolouring due to the cedar other than that a spray bottle is all you need to recharge the suckers.
