The wife and I went out with her sister and brother in law for dinner last night. They took my wife out for her bday since it is today. For some reason we ended up staying a little later because we were talking about bathroom habits (don't ask that is for a different thread).
We final left and were almost home when we come around the corner on the highway and it looks like a car bounced off the guard rail. At this point they cannot go forward let alone straight. So I took it upon myself to call the police. There were no State Troopers close by, then all of a sudden the driver stops in the highway then takes a sharp right onto an exit going over the snow and just barely missing the exit sign. The State Police put me into the local town police. I am speaking with them and letting them know where we are as they are trying to find us. As we cross back over the highway the driver comes to a stop and starts to turn as if they were going to go west onto the east bound exit. At that point a fear set over me. However, they went a little further and took a right turn. As we come up the the next intersection the first officer pulls up head on at us. They watch the driver almost get back on the highway, swerve to miss the on ramp and go into on coming traffic into residential neighborhood. The officer finally light the car up and they pull over right away. The dispatcher asked us to stay back a distance and wait for the officer to speak with us.
As they have the female driver step out she falls over. One officer is talking to us and as the other officer is trying to get her to the police car she is falling over. in 10 feet she fell twice.
The officer we were talking to said she should not have been driving at all and that was a great thing we did.
At the time when I went to call the police I'm like dam, I'm going to get this person arrest, but then I thought of all the alcohol related deaths lately. I remember it was school break this week and people were coming home form vacation and that what I did might have just saved the drivers life or an innocent life.
