Vorra what type of metal are you using? i cant decide what i should go with. thanks man
The first few, will probably be from basic thin gauge sheet metal-man cave stuff. I don't see why, brass or aluminum could not be implemented. That pretty chrome finish is likely what brings the cost up, as well as the fine "Corinthian" leather case ala Ricardo Montalban-:stretchgr

I think the cradle is a a little over done, as well. I'll make a proto, and post the pic's. Here's a good shot, of the cnote model. Too pricey for my blood.

I think it would look nice, but I do not know if it will affect the metal when you ash on it... But a nice copper piece would look cool..:guitar: And FYI.. I am in touch with my femine side!!

Fab work always starts with cardboard, in this case a manila folder. I roughed out a basic proto tonite. It's definetely do-able. The cradle is mild steel tig welded together. Will look much more sano, once I get a jig made for the components that get welded together. These were hand bent without a jig-eyeballed to match. The material for the tray, is pretty open. The first one will be from sheet metal, non galvanized. Let me know what you guys think. :halfgrinw

The corners on the tray will of course, be radiused.

im going to make mine this weekend also but i think i will try out of brass or copper sheet. see how that works out then ill post picks
Can't wait to see the pics. Will be interested to see your cradle. Without doing millwork, to make something real fancy-I went with basic functionality. Besides the fact, the time involved to get more elaborate. I still can't see $100 for the bling model.:scratchhe
