$3.95 for diesel #2

the ironic part is, #2 is whats left over after making the gas.

I never understood why diesel is so much more than regular gas. There must be heavy demand for it throughout the world.

Do you remember, for years-diesel was cheaper than the gas. Then, I think the oil companies got greedier (if there is such a thing for those cs'rs) and figured that they sold way more diesel, so why not charge more.

Think about all the trucks, ships, trains and ag equipment used. Hell I think even jet "a" fuel is a high grade diesel. Now take into account, most DOT vehicles that use #2 get around 6-8 miles to the gallon.

Supply and demand...........

So why is the economy all F'd up?

And washington stands by and watches, as the oil companies shove it right up our a@@, take our money and report their highest ever quarterly reports.

Sons a bitches, I get so pissed off just thinkin about how the average american taxpayer, just gets royally screwed. And the takers, just keep on takin. :cursing: :cursing:

How much do you think our fuel would be, if we didn't have to buy it from the other countries-that smile as their busting out the KY.

Plenty of oil here, but the tree hugger left manage put the kybosh on that.

aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:gangfire: :gangfire: :gangfire: :gangfire: :gangfire:

Yea, I remember when diesel was way cheaper than gas. I think it started to creep up around a year ago. Good theory with all the heavy machinery/equipment.

Here in northern CO it's right around $3.00. A little lower or higher depending on where you're at.

In the Bay Area it is even pricier (San Jose $3.77, in San Francisco $3.82). My Jetta Turbo take Premium and it ranges from $3.75 - 3.91 here in Tracy.

I'm pissed, the Prius dropped to 49.1 mpg on the ride home.
Leadfoot! :squinteye

Hey Steve, have you noticed a marked drop in mpg over the winter months? I have been seeing a 3-5 mpg drop over the past 3 winters. I think it's a combination of the oxygenated gas here in CA and the increased use of headlights, wipers and heaters.

You go Steve, good deal. Scooter cars don't fit my needs (towing/hauling).

My truck's a 3/4 ton 4wd, I'm figurin my odds of surviving a collision are pretty good compared to the gas pinchers. Another reason I don't ride street bikes anymore. California commuters are clueless.

OK, I feel better now-those $$ I spend on #2 are cheap insurance.:scratchhe

I can't believe the trucking industry takes it, without pitching a bitch. The oil companies are making more than ever, and their not regulated as far as boning the consumer. Where's the cap's-----------
