Well, it sure seemed nice when we started, temps in the lower 30's, bright and sunny. Still the wind whipped a bit and brought things to the low 20's with wind chill, or "real feel" as they say in Canada. Yet, Linda was a trooper and bundled up for her first ride of the year, we put on just over 40 miles, highway and through town. Her fingers got cold, but that was it...still I'm not sure how the hell that bundled up babe could even move to ride, but she did...like a champ! Now you know where she got her nickname in our motorcycle community, "Rawhide", cause she's one tough bitch!

Coolness.

That was my next question. Was there damage? My other question Wade is did Linda laugh? My ex would have laughed her ass off!
Yeah, this was 2004 and I was on the way home from a wrench party (kinda like a herf, but we work on each others bikes) in Palentine, IL. It started raining and I hit a patch of oil & water, the rear end started to shimmy and then I got into a tank slapper (the handlebars basically go back and forth at a rate of speed that is impossible to recreate manually) and laid the bike down at 65MPH on the highway.

I just had a little damage to my right foot, but totaled the bike, it was a bummer as it was my first Packer theme bike. She didn't laugh at all, it was one of those, "Honey, I'm OK" starts to a conversation that didn't go so well afterwards. Of course my first call was to a buddy in Des Moines to let him know what happened!

Man that brings back memories bro! That was a sharp ass bike. I like the new one don't get me wrong, but nothing was as sharp as that one.
