Some one had a currency collection...once upon a time.

I worked at In-N-Out burger for a while and some kid came in with a bunch of friends and ordered about $150 in food and paid with all $5 bills. I noticed, as soon as he handed me the first one, the Blue seal and not the normal green seal. Ding Ding Ding...Silver certificates. Since it was payday and I had cashed my check earlier that day. I promptly swaped my money for the money he had paid with. Went to London Coin and traded it the next day for roughly $10 on the dollar...Roughly $1500 for this kid to steal his dad's silver certificates and buy food for a bunch of friends.

I've collected coins since I was about 7 yrs old. (I'm 51 now). It's a fairly eclectic collection and nothing really valuable. Lots of silver coins, silver certificate bills, morgan dollars. Liberty dollars, and other oddities.

I've been buying intact uncirculated rolls of all the new style state quarters and the presidential dollars since they started making them. Two rolls of each, one for each of my kids for when they get older.

Ever since I started buying pricey consumables (cigars, pipes, wine, etc) ... my currency "collection" has gone downhill fast.
