i am 45 years old, been 30 years since my last exam. Bllod pressure perfect, EKG perfect. Gave blood. I understand that cholesterol should be under 200? my guess is about a 450 score..LOL. I have no idea about sugar levels. I also go a PSA test. My father had prostate cancer, so doc said that was needed. The real comedy started when he reached for a rubber glove, and said he had to do a prostate exam. I told him that was not going to happen. Aint nobody sticking their finger up my ass if i can help it.

Better they do that in the clinic than in the hospital, Ron.

Basically 1 rule of thumb:

If they have one hand on your shoulder, you are ok. If they have both hands on, watch out.

Funny stuff! Brings new meaning to 'financially raping' someone.
If they don't have some x-ray way of doing this when I'm so old I have to go in for one, I would like to think that even if someone enjoyed doing this kind of stuff to people that they would be so grossed out by some of the stuff they see that there is no pleasure in it anymore. Although it sure as shit beats cancer!

PSA should tell him what he needs to know. Not to mention it gives you a benchmark for future tests.

PSA is very nonspecific, good for following levels after you find out you have cancer, but not good for telling hether or not you have it. Next time take the fnger its a much more reliable test. I havent been in this very long, but Ive seen enough cases of doctors not wanting to do a prostate exam on someone and settling for the psa and then missing something. Good news is, that prostate cancer is generally a disease men die with and not die of. My nickels worth there. Cheers!
