I found this awesome website a few months back, in search of building a cigar room. After tons of help (thanks artofdesign/ryan deyer) I pulled the trigger on a ventilation setup.

I went with the same exhaust fan Ryan has, pulling a little over 1200 CFM's in my 400sqft room. The fan, along with ducting ETC will arrive in about 10 days.

I ran most of my electrical today, added 4 new outlets, and a few other things.

Next is drywall, paint, hardwood floors, and furniture.

Hopefully all goes well, I'll continue to update this thread along with pictures soon.

I'm also in the process of building a smoking room in my basement (mirrored off of Ryans). Can't wait to see the pics of your progress. If you need anything let me know.

Decided to wall in the window, its painted black so it looks decent from the outside. When we remodel the outside of our house, we will just take that window out and replace it with a wall.

Electrical is done, drywall, and mud.

Now they are about to start to frame in 6x5 room which will surround the exhaust unit. I'll put a small pocket door into the room, which will be used for small storage.

I picked up two Pleather black couches, in search for matching end tables / coffee table. Then TV and other decor.

I'm going with a 1' shelf around the entire room, about 2' from the ceiling, I'll put all of my empty cigar boxes on display around it with some strip lighting. Should look neat.

When we remodel the outside of the house, we're going with a rustic-castle like looking dark wood garage door that swings outside to open, instead of a standard roll-up.

This way, while inside the man cave, you won't really notice its a garage door

The exhaust fan reallllllyyy pulls the smoke out of the room. We had 5 cigars burning and some people smoking cigarettes, you couldn't see any smoke in the room.

You still owe me pictures of your room Chuck!
