Finally settled for .005 brass, it worked way better than the .006 brass. :smokingme

More than likely there will be another run of these. Lets wait to see what the bro's have to say once they have their mitty's on them.

The crafty shit is fun/time consuming, and every piece your'e lookin at is hand made one at a time. The pivoting base for the cradle, gets turned thrice on the lathe. First the blank gets drilled .500,then turned down to .750, then cut the groove (.063) where it snaps onto the cross member, then it gets turned down/sheared with the parting tool. The cradle is 1' .065 mild steel tubing, parted on the lathe-then halved and deburred with a mini die grinder.The cradle then gets tigged to the base. The cross member is .063 mild steel rod bent on a jig I made, then tigged together. The tray is .005 brass shim stock.

You boys have no idea how many frosties and stog's were consumed for this project. :bottle: :smokingme :bigeyes:
