Those old Ninjas are really nice bikes, and they're particularly good for a beginner. Is that a 500? The 250s used to be very popular amateur race bikes (probably still are?), since they were light and nimble, and could be set up to handle great. I used to ride a lot when I lived near Napa Valley, and I seriously considered buying a Ninja 250 to take advantage of the tight curves in the roads around there. If I recall, the stock suspension on those bikes isn't great, but if you replace the fork springs and the rear shock you'll have a great little sport bike.I might be getting a bike in the next couple of weeks. Not the prettiest but she'll do for getting some riding time under my belt.
