....after researching and working hard to justify a new mower, the old cub finally gave me an excuse... the seat fell through the fender....

So I got a Toro Titan Z 4800... nice piece of equipment. Checked with the dealer and it was ready Saturday morning. So I picked it up and mowed Saturday afternoon. Pretty cool. Even mowed diagonals to annoy my neighbors.....

:innocent:

Hey you got to keep altering your cut, I do. I always do 90 degree from my last cut. And then Up and Down, almost every direction I can go, I even do wide C's at the corner of my house.

I've been told that. With my old Cub (36" deck) it took too long to do anything but length of my yard. I'll probably go diagonal but opposite direction the next time.... (hmmm, do I see the grass needs to be mowed again?....)

LOL

True, I only have a small push mower, so it is easier for me to do odd shapes.

I mowed the yard for 11 years but sold the mower 3 summers ago when we moved to a house with desert landscaping. Keep planning to add to the plants but it hasn't happened yet.

My wife would kill me if I hired someone. She does all our yardwork, mowing, edgeing, weedeating, the whole nine yrds. Says it's therapy for her to get out there and have at it. A couple yrs ago, while she was out of town, I cut the grass, she had a fit. She was looking forward to doing it when she got back.

BTW we have 3.5 acres of lawn and landscaping, plus a pool, which is also her terf to maintain. All I'm allowed to do is float on a raft, smoking cigars, and drink while she does all the stuff. It drives my friends (and their wives) nuts to see me floating around while she works in the yard. :smokingboThat makes it even better as if that's possible.
