Well taking a cue from RonC's earlier post I would like to know what pound for pound the most expensive stick you've smoked that you absolutely hated and kicked yourself in the arse for buying.

For me it was the Davidoff Special R, smoked it cause I wanted to try cigars that were not Cuban and hated how one dimensional it was and couldn't justify the price tag it carried no matter how hard I tried. It was simply disappointing.

This doesn't really fall in the expensive category but certainly the worst cigar I've ever had (discounting the drug store and gas station variety) was the Te-amo brand. A nice little Mexican brand with litter box overtones and cat urine high lights.

Is it strange that i like everything i smoke?! Sure, some are way better than others, but even the ones that don't fit my profile i still like smoknig them.

At anyrate, the ones i've been most disspointed with are the opus power rangers. i've had 2 and both were disspointeing for various reasons, but mostly due to terrible burn. One even went out on me not but 1/3 the way through...and they weren't over humidified!!!

You know on a bad day you'll have a smoke you won't enjoy as much but there are times when you try a smoke and it just turns you off, you want to fling it as far as possible but decide to give it a try since you spent an average Pakistanis weeks pay on it and it just doesn't do it for you, half way through you're praying this stogie has some magic in it 'cause you mouth tastes like crap and you just want to let it die.

Its not that you should've had such an experience I've had a few so just wondered if anyone else here had the same.

Have to agree here. About 5 years ago JR's had these as the cigar of the week for $2 each. I bought 2. Smoked half of the first one and then threw both away.

Hands down, the camacho liberty 2007! It would not be worth a 1/3 of the price I paid(just plain nasty).:cursing:

Some of you are gonna think I'm crazy - But the Carlito God of Fire 2006?
It made my mouth go numb & was just not very enjoyable.
Granted: I had high expectations & paid out for it... I just don't see how it's worth it.
I love the spice of Opus, DPG & Padilla and I love a full flavored.. I guess I was just let down.
I can understand the RyJ Tubos & The Partagas 160 - subjective as always - But I paid half of that for each & I liked both..

It's amazing how expectations & value factor into the final impression...

I remeber as a kid, dreaming of this one particular girl I liked day in and day out. So I finally nail her...yep not nearly as good as I thought it would be. Not that I didn't nail everyday until we moved on, just not as good as I had hoped.

Why is this always the case?
