They have been fooling us since the begining of time...Do you actually think that is pork in your fried rice???

True story...I once got a fortune cookie and it stated,

Confucius say "What you just ate, was not chicken!"
 All this time I thought I tasted pork in my fried rice and even watched the guy make it at Benihana. Those chinese are very tricky people and I guess the next thing you're going to tell me is that my laundry isn't even being done by the Chinese people I take it to? I'm speechless, I am totally without speech!!

I have another funny...

Funny thing about this kid is that I used to eat at the Mexican restaurant his parents own in Milford, Ma. which is pretty good. Everytime this kid would come home after filming and come into the restaurant he wouldn't as much as look at anyone in there or talk to anyone except his friends or family. If you think those ears are big in a picture you should see them live and personal as I would think he could pick up signals from Hong Kong with those dishes.

I've gotta chime in here...do you honestly think that if the chinese govt were condoning the use of underage gymnasts that they would allow the girls actual age to still be posted on the internet. I ahve to believe that they know better than that and are certainly more capable of deleting said information.

This one fact remains...the chinese govt is powerful enough that if they say she's 16, she's gonna be 16.

And honeslty, i hate to see controversy over such a thing. Even if they or she is under 16, she shold not be riciculed and condemned for it. Ultimately, she will be the one to pay the terrible sacrifice for doing what her country made her do. I doubt they would take care of her in the event it were proven she were underage. She would have no life left after that.

i say let it be.

And while i'm at it, i saw where Michael Phelps is going to net something like 100 million from endorsements. Well, there's this stupid blonde women who founded the childhood obesity foundation or somehting, and she was all over CNN harassing Phelps for endorsing Frosted Flakes. She says it's terrible for an Olympic Athelete who is a role model for young kids to be "telling" them to eat a non-nutritious cereal that's loaded with sugar. She's condemning him for it.

To her i'd like to politely say, "SHUT THE F@CK UP B!TCH!!!!!!"

The guy just won 8 gold medals and you're going to ridicule him! He's an American hero. He eats 12,000 calories a day, but he burn 13,000 from EXERCISE!!!! The child hood obeisty b!tch should be touting exercise to all the fat kids that sit around munching on frosted flakes while playing xbox.

I feel terrible for Phelps.

Sometimes i hate the whole freedom of speach thing

Dave would make a great PI if he ever finds himself out of work..
Yeah I stole this from another board and did not do any of this on my own.

After reading some of the comments from the blog refferenced Here is one that stands out in particular. While there are others that lead toward mistaken identity, since there are a freakin bazillion chinese, sames names have to happen all the time. And under age or not this little girl is an amazing athlete, but rules are rules, and we followed them, so should everyone else. But here is what this issue should really be about.

Rafe said...
Considering that the highest members of China's Party made the final decision about the little singing girl / pantomiming girl, I would be surprised if they were not fully aware of passport faking in order to win gold. In fact, they would have to be, wouldn't they?

This issue is about much more than cheating. It's about thought-control, but also, the desperation with which the ChiComs manage public opinion - by seeking legitimacy of the Olympics, "winning" more gold than any country (never mind the actual sportsmanship), manufacturing athletes in low-popularity events with less competition in order to maximize gold medal counts, in order to stoke patriotism, and domestic nationalism in the hopes that the people don't notice how hopelessly exploited & desperate they are, or how shaky their foundation really is, on the sand.

It's also a sign of a deeper trend of how Chinese society does business. It cares not for international conventions, courtesy, respect, or open-mindedness. It only cares about personal greed, at any cost. Economy, environment, jobs, domestic "Harmony", all serve to maintain a status quo of unmitigated greed.

Mao swept away China's birthrights and culture, philosophies and spirituality, and replaced them with Communism. Now communism has fallen, and the Chinese people are bereft of anything to believe in. Except greed.

The love of money is the root of all evil. I know it's a cliche, but obviously some people have yet to learn it.

The only thing that can save China is its own human resources - which it systematically neutralizes. And misinforms, obviously.

Enjoy your gold at any cost, China. Hope it saves you. But it won't.

-Kiss of X

Just a side note. Every single time something has been discovered on the internet it has been IMMEDIATELY scrubbed by the Chinese government as soon as it was made public. So yeah, they are capable of deleting it, they just didn't find it all.

Exactly. Until after the Olypics at least. Like the 14 year old from the 200 Olympics that admitted after the fact that she was 14 the year she competed.

The real problem here is the IOC. They are completely and utterly corrupt at this point. It's about the Cash baby, and nothing else.

i would agree...China is jumipng onto the world stage and what better way to do that than by hosting a successful Olympics, despite the hundreds of thousdands of people that were uprooted because of it. It's all a mere fascade built by the controlling gov't. Eventaully it will crash in one way of another, and when it does, we'll be witnessing WWIII. Mark my words on that. Print this page and look at it when WWIII breaks out.
And like someone's sigantrue alludes to, WWIII will be disastrous.

OK, now i'm definitely done ranting and i'm certainly done prophesizing.
