So I have some infused sticks (CAO and Drew Estates) and know enough to store them separately from my other cigars. My question is, is it okay to store all the different infused sticks together, or will they cross-infuse or something?

Specifically, I like the Java and Java Latte (though I don't have any actually, my local B&M charges over $7 a piece--ouch!) and it seems like those are particularly fragrant. Assuming I get some eventually, if I store them with the others will everything end up with a coffee flavor?

Oh, and one more thing, are El Meijor Espresso infused?

Yea, I am pretty noobish.

Thanks!

First, infused cigars??????????????? You have that many that you are worried???????????
OK got that out of my system. Now, you can store most cigars that are not being aged for years all togather. Infused my be a different story. Some infused have very heavy perfumed essence that would most likely transfer between cigars. If there is specifc favor :lookaroun you like in one, it may not taste so great melded with another. If they are all coffee flavored I would not think this to be an issue.

The El Mejor according to CI is not an infused cigar but rather one with hints of coffee etc.

Well I don't have THAT many, lol, maybe 20 or so, assuming that the CI Legends from Drew Estates is infused, which I think it is.

I know a lot of "pros" tend to thumb their nose at infused cigars, but I think they're both a fun change of pace and a GREAT gateway for non-cigar-smokers.

I'm mostly thinking about the Java-factor. It would be annoying if a Pimp Stick ended up tasting like coffee.

(did I just write that sentence?)

I went through an early smoker phase of smoking infused sticks....ACID, nasty, 1400cc, Java...even though I wont lie, I will still smoke a Java every now and then...I recomend that you keep them in a seperate humi...I started with a 50 stick humi and kept all types of sticks...and let me tell you, the flavors will run...Other sticks will absorb the smell and taste of those infused sticks, especially if you are aging them...So i wont rag about..."Oh, you smoke baby sticks...let me get you a blankie!" but Tell you just to get a seperate humi for those cigars...

I already have my infused sticks in a separate tupperware with a couple pillows. What I'm really wondering is if I should separate the Java (when i get some) from the other DE and CAO infused sticks, or if all the infused can just stay with each other.

I have a little 25-50 count humi that I keep nothing but Java's in(a dozen or so), they are nice change of pace every now and then, and great for friends who want to "try" one of my cigars. I will say after being in there for 3 or 4 months upon opening the humi it is a very strong coffee/chocolate/mocca scent and I imagine that it wouldn't take long for that to marry to other cigars. So I would definitely keep them seperate as Daviso27 said.

i have some Drew's I got from a buddy... I stored them in an uninhabited cedar box I had laying around. The problem is... I could never put ANY other cigars in this box b/c now the box is tainted. I think tupperware is the best bet unless you don't mind throwing away a perfectly good cedar box.

I do like the Pimp Stick from Drew, I have kept it with my regular smokes(but not for long). Other than that and some of the other Drew lines I do not keep them with the rest of my stash. I have a couple of Pimp Sticks to smoke if the wife ever joins me while I smoke at night.......she hates everything else.

I segregate all of the infused sticks I get, first I place them in heavy freezer ziplock and then I place them in very bottom of the dumpster wouldn't want em marrying with the rest of the trash.......................I don't consider myself a pro but yeah I not a fan of infused sticks. A "fun" change for me is a fresh PSD4 and then one with some age....:stretchgr

By the way just WTF is a pimp stick?:dunno:

Thanks for this. I've been wondering the same thing. But I got a 20ct for just $7, so I figure that's not a huge investment even if it can only hold Java or DE Legends or...Pimp Sticks...for the rest of it's life.

I do need to get 1 or 2 more little 20cts still.

I'd like to try the Gurkha cognac as well, they sound awesome.
