I had a buddy who got a 3 pack of cigars in mexico, thing is he doesn't even smoke cigars just picked them up. He sent me pix and it made my stomach turn that he had the same cigars as you put up here. Same stamp and a hologram on the box(3 pack). I convinced him to send me the last one he had, of course he sends it and it's a little dry and little banged up at the foot, but other than that in pretty good shape. It's in the ICU unit right now. Funny part was when he told me, "they aren't bad, probably better when they were fresh". hehehe

Everything I look at in terms of counterfeit seems to check out as the real deal i.e. bands, seal, habanos sticker, cuban seal, parchment paper, certificate, box date, habanos stamp..

let me know what you think
That is a mighty odd date stamp. I've never seen the entire year stamped, e.g., 2008. Is this something new? Usually it would be 08. Also, the font looks weird.

I agree. Can you take a clearer pic of the bottom of the box?

I think it's great your dad gave you these sticks.
In college my Dad did the same with Cohiba Robustos, Lanceros and Esplendidos. I was thrilled!

But I happen to agree with Greg....the box stamp does look a little suspect. And I'm not 100% sure about the warranty sticker although it's hard to tell from the picture. The sticks and bands themselves look pretty good. In any event, the proof is usually in the smoke. If you like them, then enjoy 'em.
