Just wanted to give a report o fmy meetup with Hendy over the weekend.

My brother and I traveled to Detroit Rock City to play a little golf and herf it up a bit on Friday and Saturday of this past week. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Here's the highlights.

Friday - Played a 6 hour round of golf. I don't normally smoke while golfing, but when you have that much time...Well, i enjoyed an Oliva Serie V lancero that Hendy was kind enough to give me. My stomach was empty and that little f'er kicked my arse. Hendy smoked one of those new Tabak Especiales i think it was. Damn good smelling stick. It actually amde me hungry smelling it, it smelled great! I think this is the one that Wade was raving about from the RTDA. All apoloiges to Wade for harassing him about these. If they taste anything like they smell, i'll be a fan too. Scott gave me 2 of them. Can't wait to fire one up!

Friday evening, for what was left of it after 6 hours of golf, was spent hangin with Hendy at his place. Scott busted out this box packed full of Fuentes' finest...Opus, GoF, Anejo and the like. We all smoked an Opus and it was no surprise they were fantastic. I've msoked af ew of them, but it's always a treat. Thanks Scott. And i would be remiss if i didn't let you al know that Hendy's buddy had to take a knee after smokoing his Opus. It kicked his ass in a major way. He got the cold sweats and everything. poor guy; i've never seen anything like it. But to his defense, i made a related comment to Hendy that i didnt' remember Opus being so strong. Not that it was a bad thing, but the No. 4 that i smoked packed a punch.

On Saturday Scott treated us to a great round of golf. A beautiful course. The scores weren't all that impressive, but we had a good time and the weather was absolutley perfect. Company wasnt' bad either.

Once again, i didn't take many pictures, but here's a few

Scott heating up on hole #5. He lost the sweater vest.

A beautiful still shot of Scott's follow thru.

Scott being a good sport cleaning up after himself after another trip to the beach.

Scott on 18.

I think subliminally Scott would rather have been at the beach that day instead of golfing.

In all seriousness, it was a great time and i hope to do it again. Scott gave me that super sweet CAO humi and it's seasoning as we speak. Sorry Dave.

Thanks Hendy, had a great time. We'll definitely do it again.

Yaeh dammit, I wanted that humi. :crying: lol

And Scott, If want to go to the beach so bad, you need to make a trip out here.

Sound like you guys had a good time, an hopefully did well on the greens as you did in the sand.

Nice. I did not see the camera you bastard.

The friend that we had to "call in the stretcher" on was no other than my brother in law "JoeGar". I will be riding him until one of us die. It will be my lead in conversation at every family event from here on out.

Gale, it was an absolute pleasure to have you and your brother in town. Wish we had more time. Which we will definitely plan on in the future.

And, if you guys ever get the chance, you need to weasle some bbq from this dude. I have never tasted something so good. Gale was too kind and brought me a slab of ribs, a pork shoulder (pulled pork) and some jerk chicken. All were unbelievable. I got 2 ribs out of the rack and the girls polished off everything else when I had my back turned. I ain't bs'in, Gale can make some sh-t.

And don't think that Gale just took the humi and ran. He more than covered it with sticks. The list is too big to provide, but not one "less than premi" in the mix. And I had to make 2 trips to the humi to put them away.

I got your number and will be sending you and your bro some of the sauce from my father in law. I am having him make a couple different kinds so I can share the Italian thing with you's.

Thanks again (except for the pictures). It was very cool to have you in.

Next time I will make it a BLOW OUT.

Dude, after looking at the pics again I laughed my ass off. Did you play a hole where you weren't in the sand?

nice pics, but what I noticed was the ball smacking the lip in the second pic, and it looks the ball didn't make it out in the third one:dunno:

IOU Gale for the pics.

The course was The Orchards in Washington, MI.

And there was one lippy. The others are my scenic route through the rest of the traps on the course. I was looking for sea shells.

Yep, you owe me indeed Scott. I was pretty sneaky getting those pics. I had hoped to get you looking in the water and the woods, but didn't get the opportunity.

And the course was great!!!

nice! I would love to take up golf so I can have a day like that!
You don't need to golf for days like that just go hang out in a golf cart while your friends golfing curse about their shots. I smoke, drink and provide immoral support for friends on golf outings. It's always fun.

I don't think I have ever played a round that has taken that long, even the slowest rounds in Myrtle Beach are under 5 and a half hours. Of course that is not a bad way to spend that time, but someone in my group would have fired a warning shot in to the group in front of us at some point.

You know, it was really a great time to hang with G and his bro. I think it would be a blast to hook something up with some "eastern" boys and loop it up. I think I am gonna try and put something together for next year.
