Diamond Crown Maximus Humidor?

Hey all... New to the forum, but I have a question for the experts.

I'm looking to get a larger humidor, and my friend has a Diamond Crown Maximus for sale. It's a numbered humidor out of a run of 450, it seems to have a good seal, and he claims it holds humidity very well. I checked it out today and it looks good, and holds the quantity I want.

You can check out the humidor here, although it comes with a bunch of cigars with this package, and is much more expensive than the humidor by itself...

I haven't been able to find much on the internet about this humidor, so I need some input from anyone that can give it. What would be a fair price for this humidor?

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to being a part of the community!

Thanks for the input jwintosh... Yeah, it comes with the credo and digital hygrometer. The credo seems nice too... It has a resevoir and it's slightly adjustable by opening/closing the slots. I'm sure you're familiar with what I'm talkin' about...

My boss has a DC humidor in his office. I am the designated maintence man. Meaning i make sure it is holding the RH steady, and I take a good smoke everytime I open it. hehe. anyhow it is top notch construction, seal, looks etc. There are cheaper humidors available that will work just fine, but a DC is a really nice box.

I replaced the Credo with some heartfelt beads, but that's just because I am a huge fan of the beads and they seem to work better than any credo I ever tried to use.

I own one of these humidors.

DC Max is a big favorite for me.

The humidor is made by the same people who make Diamond Crown Humidors and Craftsmen's Bench, the inferior to D.C.

It was once that famous fine furniture makers Reed & Barton made these Humis which carry a lifetime warinty. The new ones, like mine and yours (yes you should buy it), are China made. Still they are made pretty well for the price and you will almost always get China unless you really want to pay.

HAve fun with it though. Make sure it isnot warped. But if the Humi is in good shape it will be a real treat.

I've always been a cooler guy, it's more economical, air tight and come in a ton of sizes. That'll mean you can spend the $$ on your smokes instead. Afterall, doesn't everyone say it's what's on the inside that counts? hehe...Just my .02
Although, the DC is a beautiful humi!

I recently came across one of the DC Maximus humidors (out of 450) in question at a local store. While I realize it originally came with DC cigars inside, I am curious what people think the retail price of just the humidor should be?
