I grew up watching Star Wars. I hope it's not another series of 5 minute shorts every week. The last series on CN was good but much better watching it on DVD than watching 5 minutes and waiting a week for another 5 minutes.

I am wondering why you bro's aren't feeling it??
Two reasons.

1. I just don't watch animated series or movies other than the occasional Pixar type film.

2. Star wars as it was written and intended to be produced has been completed, no one could live up to George Lucas' standards (unless without my knowledge he is involved in this, but i can't see him teaming up with the cartoon network)

Not even Family Guy?? hehe, I can understand that, but Lucas is listed as the Executive Producer from what I have read.

“I felt there were a lot more Star Wars stories left to tell,” said George Lucas in the press release for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. “I was eager to start telling some of them through animation and, at the same time, push the art of animation forward.”

I take that back, I do watch Family Guy, thank you Craig Mac for setting me straight.

If Lucas is involved i may take a peek, but i just don't see myself watching this regularly

Because pretty much everything George Lucas has done Star Wars-related since 1997 has basically pissed all over my childhood memories. No one in the history of the world has been able to fuck up a good thing quite like George Lucas.

Despite the fact that lucas is definitely involved in this show, you might want to think about what you're saying.

Lucas didn't write or direct Empire or Jedi. He conveyed a skeleton idea but that's it. These Cartoon Network shows (The clonewars animated shorts from 04/05) and this upcoming full length show with PIXAR type animation were the same way. Lucas established some thoughts, ideas & stories and someone else did the 'meat & potatoes' for it.

Remember, it's commonly known that GL is a big picture guy, NOT a nitty gritty. Actors say he gives no direction other than "Faster! And more Intense!". That's it. His screenplays are able to "be read but NOT spoken." and he caters too much to a younger crowd.

Guys who grew up in 77 with Luke & Leia tend to shy away from GLs involvement. Many of the hard-cores think he damages more than he helps. I fully intend to watch this show & think that it will be very easy to tell how much George has input. If it's gay & immature, you know he was heavily involved!!

JMHO of course.
