Okay, I've been thinking about upgrading to giant coolers sometime soon to replace my giant tupperwares, but I checked Craigslist on a whim and saw this item:

http://dayton.craigslist.org/fuo/820988899.html

That's about how much 2 coolers would cost, but this will hold more and look cool too!

What do you guys think?

How could I go about testing whether this is really a cool seal, etc.? I'm assuming it doesn't come with a humidifier...would I need an electric one in a unit like this our could I just keep using my beads?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I'm a little worried about the seal around the doors and the seam between the doors when it is closed. If it seals right, you can always just use a bunch of beads for humidity, but for something that big Ronc could set you up with the goods.

I'm not sure about the seal, either. Ye should check that first, and then, I'd suggest active humidification.

Seals can be fixed. Looks very nice.
i agree, if you have just a little bit of woodworking/mechanical ability, you should be able to make this work. check on door seal, any cracking/warping. call me for an accumonitor when/if you get it.

I figured that a good seal could probably be added if it's just the doors that are at issue.

Does $175 seem like a good deal for a cabinet that needs some work? I'd offer less, of course, but in case he's not going to budge...

hmm...the consensus seems to be positive. I think I'll call him and see if it's still available, and if so I'll check it out this week and offer him $100 if it looks good.

Other than basic construction and condition, is there anything else I should be looking for specifically?
