I'm told that racoon is terrible. Really tough, and taste like shit, no matter what you do with it (a really fantastic story to hear from a drunk Coon Ass). You wanna try one? Shoot one. They're fawkin everywhere. I've not tried to cook one.


Armadillo is OK (I've only had it in soup). You have to be VERY careful skinning it, they eat poisonous plants, and if you break an internal organ, you ruin the meat, and can make yourself very sick if you consume it.

The mountain men, used to swear that mountain lion (a feline) was the best meat that there was. It is said that many preferred it over any venison, bear or elk. Next one I shoot is going on the grill. The last one I shot, I turned over to the cattle raisers association for a bounty.

Wow...Ye dazzled me with yer knowledge, mate. I'll try both as soon as I can. Though there's very few racoons where I live (and Shmear would never let me put that on me mouth after killing it if I did it at her pad).
